In aspect 4, this essay describes why and how the data was gathered.

All data was gathered from December 2015 to February 2016 in the lower shore, Sydney, Australia. This period was chosen to show the period of Christmas, where as seen from the study Coles and Woolworths lower its prices even more to attract more consumers. The geographical location was located as to where the duopoly of Coles and Woolworths were positioned. The area consists of 6,258 people, 50.9% females and 40.1% males, the median age is 35 and of the people living in North Sydney 71.4% are over 15 years of age, who are part of the labour force and employed full time.
