Adam was very brave. He showed his bravery when he continues to place mines and go disarm them after cutting his head. In a certain scenario with his friends Adam put himself in dangers way and stepped up to end a very hostile situation, When another vehicle almost hit them and ran them off the road, Adam flagged them down and ordered them to pull over. One of his friends ended up getting shot after the opposing group pulled out a gun. His friend was running out of time, he was losing quite a bit of blood. Adam sprung into action, “So Adam kept walking until the barrel was only a couple of feet away and pointed straight at his chest.”. this quote shows us that even at a young age Adam was not afraid of death. He was very fearless.
Adam’s actions in high school also lead us to the realization that he is daring. One morning when walking into school after getting of the school bus, Adam observes a group of kids taunting Richie Holden, a boy with down syndrome. The group of boys called him names. At this time Adam was quite small but nevertheless he marched over and stood in front of Richie. “You can pick on me-if you think you’re big enough.”. The three backed off, Adam put his arm around Richie and walked him to class.
Throughout this book we see Adam grow but keep his overall values and keep his good personality. Being fearless means you lack fear and you have qualities that make people perceive you as unafraid. His friends, family, and companions could all tell how good of a person he was and how he would always
