Adam Brown was from Hot Springs, Arkansas. He went to school at Lake Hamilton High School and graduated with honors. (Blehm, 36.) Adam attended Arkansas Tech University and played football there. Adam’s parents began to get suspicious and began to worry about Adam. Adam go so bad that he tried to kill himself while under the influence of drugs. Adam was staying with a friend at that time so luckily his friend called 911 to get help. When Adam woke up in the hospital the nurse made him take a Alcoholic Anonymous Class. Adam’s family began to go back to church and prayed that Adam would get better. Even Adam prayed that he would get better. Adam began to turn himself towards God and read the Bible. He met a girl named Kelley and he fell in love with her. They ended up getting married and Kelley put up with Adam and his problems. Adam slipped up a few times while he was with Kelley, as he began to think that if he joined the U.S. Navy it would help him by keeping him away from drugs and Hot Springs. So Adam set out to train and become a U.S. Navy SEAL. Adam did not give up no matter how hard training was and he achieved his goal of becoming a SEAL. “He pushed the Trident through the fabric above the upper left pocket of Adam’s soaking wet cammie top, and a U.S. Navy SEAL was born- on paper anyways.” (Blehm, 119.)
