Organizational commitment is a conception that has to do with the degree of commitment that employee display toward employers. As part of this concept, determining the level of responsibility that employees feel toward an employer is important. The underlying estimate is that if an employee is truly committed to the goals and aims of the arrangement, he or she will manifest that commitment in term of individual oeuvre ethic, the livelihood of company goals and generally be dedicated to the ongoing success of the employer’s business.

Maslow proposed that motivation is someone’s endeavour at fulfilling five basic needs: physiological, safety, love and belongingness, esteem and self-actualisation. According to Maslow, these needs can create internal pressure that can influence someone’s behaviour.
Physiological needs are those that are required for a man to survive such as air, nutrition, water, shelter, clothing and sleep. As a director of an organization, you can report for physiological needs of your employee by providing comfortable working environment, reasonable duration of work and the necessary breaks.
Safety needs include those needs that provide a person with a sense of security and well-being. Personal security, financial security, trade good health and protection from accidents, injury and their adverse effects are all included in safety needs. As a manager of an organization, you can vouch for safety needs of your employees by providing safe working conditions, secure compensation (such as a salary) and job security, which is especially important in a bad economy.
Love life and belongingness needs refer to the need to spirit a sense of belonging and feeling loved. Sociable
