February 12, 1809. Was the birth of the 16th president of the United States. Serving during one of the bloodiest wars in us history the civil war and been part of the greatest change the United States has gone through moral and political. Serving from March 1861 until his assassination on in April 1865. Born in Hodgenville, Kentucky. Lincoln was the second child of three. And the greatest president the united states has had from the point of view of many. From a humble beginning to a honorable command nothing stopped Lincoln from achieving his dreams and follow his passion. He was a man with much honor, passion and most of all he was just which later he challenge half of the nation for it. He believed the America 's founders intended that all men were created with certain inalienable rights as he says on a letter to george robertson on August 15, 1855 - “On the question of liberty, as a principle, we are not what we have been. When we were the political slaves of King George, and wanted to be free, we called the maxim that "all men are created equal" a self evident truth; but now when we have grown fat, and have lost all dread of being slaves ourselves, we have become so greedy to be masters that we call the same maxim "a self evident lie.”
