During his second inauguration he had this famous Quote, “With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation's wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations”.
Abraham Lincoln, was an amazing man and impacted the world in many amazing ways, such as playing a key role in freeing the slaves, he also did great things before he become president. He was a prestigious lawyer with a good reputation, he even was elected to the United States Congress.
On April 15, 1865 while watching the play “Our American Cousin”, at Ford’s Theater, a man named John Wilkes Booth stepped into the presidential box, nobody noticed him because he was an actor, he fired one shot from his 44- caliber derringer, pocket pistol. It entered the left occiput of Lincolns brain in today’s time he would have survived, but in 1865 they didn’t have the medical advances we have today. He survived till 7:22 the next morning where he died from his injuries. This was just 6 days after the surrender at
