The IC shall contact , when required, staged crews and provide them with a crew assignment based on the IAP as determined by the IC. This shall be accomplished by following the Assignment Model which is comprised by the following 3 parts: (3) |
1. Task - Simple description of the action needed to accomplish or support the objective 2. Location of Task - Specific location where the task is to be performed 3. Objective of the Task - Centres around the completion of our tactical Priorities for the chosen location |

1. "Spot Your Truck" - Crew shall position their apparatus in a manner that does not impede access for other fire department apparatus, NEMS apparatus, police apparatus or any other resource apparatus as may be required 2. "Set Your Truck " - Crews shall position their apparatus where indicated for use |

The IC may assign one of the following standard tasks as part of a crew assignment: (7) |
1. "Lay a line" - describes a crew deploying and operating a pre-connected 45mm hose line or PAL pack hose line 2. "Lay a 65" - describes a crew deploying and operating a 65mm hand line from the apparatus 3. "Deploy a Master Stream" - describes a crew deploying and operating a portable master stream device from an apparatus |

"On-Deck" - describes a crew being assigned as tactical reserve for a specific hazard Zone |
