What is an algorithm?

A list of rules that a computer uses or follows to solve a problem. Computers can be trained to interpret a sample set of data and automatically improve the algorithm. Thus learning patterns or sequences and improving on them over a period of time.

To interpret medical images such as CT scans or radiography for use in diagnostics, particularly in cancer care.

Global Positioning System can be used to physically track patients. Example of this was during Covid pandemic when “ track and trace” would contact you if you had been in contact with someone who tested positive. The app would “ ping” and tell you to self isolate for a number of days!
