The hydrologic cycle-Several important processes that occur in water cycle, accumulation, evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and run off. Accumulation is the process where water is stored in oceans, lakes rivers and glaciers. Evaporation-due to solar heating and other climate forces water evaporates into the atmosphere. Water also evaporates through transpiration a process by which water is absorbed through the roots of plants, moves to the leaves through phloem, and evaporates into the atmosphere. As the atmosphere cools, water vapor condenses to form clouds, which eventually release liquid water in the form of precipitation and falls to earth in rain, snow, hail, and sleet. runoff rain, snow, and other water flows underground.

When the pilgrims came over from England in 1620. They were striving for independence from Great Britain because they wanted a democracy rather than a monarchy or parliament from Great Britain. The Pilgrims came over so that they could practice their own religion. William Bradford wrote up the mayflower compact which discussed the rules of the new territory and was run by majority rule.

During the American revolution Americans fought the British for independence from England. They wished to be the thirteen colonies. First they created the articles of confederation which was a loosely articulated form of government which focused on the states as a government power rather than a federal government. They did not wish the government to become too powerful and were afraid of a system like a monarchy. They wanted independence and freedom in their own set of rules.

This ended up being made into the constitution of America which included the Bill of rights. It was made for life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This constitution contributed to America becoming a dominant world power.

The many amendment of America have added to the spirit of Independence. The thirteenth amendment was created so that African Americans could be seen as equal with their rights and the fourteenth amendments were created so that women could have the same rights as men.

All these contributes to America, The Mayflower compact, The articles of confederation, the constitution and the thirteenth and fourteenth amendments have contributed to the belief of a democracy. America has had a spirit of independence since the American revolution where they said "No taxation without representation". Americans became a great force within the world because they had independence from Britain because of the Treaty of Versailles. The constitution of America is like no other in that it created a democracy and protected the rights of their citizens rather than having an overseer.
