An important artifact found in the Eastern Woodlands was the moccasin. The moccasin is made out of soft leather and is a shoe without a heel. The Eastern Woodland Indians used leather made from animal hides and the shoes were used to keep their feet protected from the wilderness. It shows adaptation to the cultural region because the moccasins helped the Indians adjust to the rough wilderness environment.

An important artifact found in the Great Plains was the spear head. The spear head was made out of metal from rocks in their environment and put on a big stick. The spear head was used for hunting buffalo and other animals and for protection. It shows adaptation to the cultural region because the Great Plains Indians needed hunt for food in the region by using a spears.
