Organelles vacuoles

Large sacs of membrane that bud ER, Golgi apparatus or plasma membrane

Protists pump out excess water in the cell.

Organelles Mitochondria

Two organelles act as cellular power stations chloroplasts and mitochondria. Organelles of cellular respiration, found in almost all eukaryotes cells, produce ATP from energy of food molecules. Contain DNA which encodes some of their proteins. DNA evidence that mitochondria evolved free living prokaryotes in the distant past.

Organelles Chlorplast

Unique photosynthetic cells of plants and algae. Organelles perform photosynthesis. Divided into three internal membranes: the space between two membranes, stroma a thick fluid within chloroplasts and space within grana discs and tubes that trap light energy and convert it to chemical energy.
