The zodiac killer left few clues behind at the location of the murder.
One of the few first victims of the zodiac killer, Mike Mageau, was able to survive despite being shot. He was able to give the police a vague description of the man that shot him and his girlfriend. Along with Mageau’s description in a later murder there were a few bystanders that had seen a man walking away from the spot of Stine’s murder. With the descriptions from these people police were able to put together a composite sketch of the killer. According to the article by Vince Lee, from ABC 7 News published in January 2015, there were also fingerprints found in the cab of his last murder. (Picture)

A lot of people want to blame the parents of the offenders, asking “what did you turn your child into?” 36% of serial killers were physically abused, 26% were sexually abused, and 50% were psychologically abused (Mitchell and Aamodt 45). Many people have logically come to the conclusion that just because someone is abused, it does not mean that they will become a serial killer; or even a murderer; which is true. In the general population (people who have never committed murder) only 6% are physically abused, 3% are sexually abused, and 2% are psychologically abused (Mitchell and Aamodt 45). The dramatic difference of abuse frequency between people who are serial killers and people who are not seems evident enough to support that serial killers are created.…

Before Rachels stated his stand regarding the cultural judgment of the “excision” he stated that we, all of the cultures should have at least some of our values or moral codes that each culture has in common. Rachels gives the example of Murder and lying to make his point that we all have some moral codes or virtues that are universal by stating “…there are some moral rules that all societies must have in common, because those rules are necessary for society to exist. The rules against lying and murder are two examples. And in fact, we do find these rules in force in all viable cultures. Cultures may differ in what they regard as legitimate exceptions to the rules, but this disagreement exists against a background of agreement on the larger…

There were many complications present when the war ended; Germans found themselves questioned politically and mentally by their own compatriots, as well as outsiders. The first confirmed Zodiac killing was on December 20, 1968, when 17-year-old David Faraday and his 16-year-old girlfriend Betty Lou Jensen were shot to death near their car on the outskirts of Vallejo, California. The second killing was on July 5, 1969, when Darlene Ferrin, 22, and her boyfriend, Mike Mageau, 19, were sitting in parked car in Vallejo when they were approached by a man with a flashlight who fired multiple shots at them, killing Ferrin and seriously wounding Mageau. Miller (2014) states “in such a defense, the psychopathic serial killer is constitutionally incapable – due to a defective limbic system, say – to appreciate the wrongfulness of any act because he lacks the very biobehavioral substrate for a conscience. He is no more culpable for his acts than would a blind man who stumbles into another person and knocks him into traffic.” This seems like a reasonable purpose for using the insanity defense at least with the volitional definition. Miller (2014) states that “in practice, however, a diagnosis of psychopathy or antisocial personality disorder is virtually never successfully invoked as an insanity defense for any type of crime.” Although the actions of some of these individuals are atrocious…
