Who are the Victims of the Zodiac?
Shelby Davis
Wiregrass Georgia Technical College

Abstract
In the late 1960’s, there was a man roaming California on a killing spree. With seven confirmed victims, five killed and two injured, the Zodiac killer became one of the most allusive serial killers in United States. His method of attack was different each time and only thing that could tie him to each of the crimes was the fact that he reported the crimes himself. This paper is going to give you the events that occurred on the nights that Zodiac attacked. This includes; what they were doing at the time of the attack, how they were and attacked, if they survived the attack. It has been reported that, there have been many more victims of the Zodiac but these are the only ones that he has taken credit for. Also included are the descriptions given to the police as to what the Zodiac Killer looks like, as given by the surviving victims and the witnesses of the attacks.

He has reportedly killed five people and injured at least two. His method of attack varies in each crime and the only thing that ties them all together is the phone calls he made after each of his attacks. The interesting part of the case is when the Zodiac, himself, sent encoded messages to the media for them to circulate into the newspapers. The name “Zodiac” was the name he used to address himself in the letters he sent. The reason I chose to write on the topic of the Zodiac Killer is simply because I find it interesting that the first crime was committed over 45 years ago and the killer still has not been caught. I will give you specific details on each victim of the Zodiac

Simon talks about Dr. Henry Holmes as the first serial killer in the United States. Next s/he talks about Jack the Ripper, s/he uses Jack as an example to back up his evidence on a “mission-oriented killer”(5), those killers want to rid the world of people they think need to go just like how Jack the Ripper wanted to rid the world of prostitutes. Simon then describes John Wayne Gacy Jr as a killer that hid very well by having a family and doing charity work to make it seem like is not a killer. He uses John Wayne Gacy Jr as an example to back up his facts about how serial killer will get a fake family and do kind acts for the community to keep them for getting caught. Finally, Theodore Bundy is described to back up his evidence about anger growing up. Theodore Bundy had a tough childhood that caused him to get angry and kill at least thirty young girls. To conclude, the background of these serial killer back up Simon’s article well by providing real life evidence of the facts provided…

In 1974, Ted Bundy embarked on a series of grisly murders that began in Seattle, Washington and in a period of over five years spread through Oregon, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, and Florida. His rampage took the lives of at least thirty five women, but there is a lot of controversy over this number. The exact number of women Bundy killed will never be known as experts predict that he killed at least 100 or more. He was known to be a serial killer who went on a killing spree after a devastating break up with his college girlfriend, Stephanie Brooks. His operating method consisted of pretending that he was injured to draw women into his car by requesting them for assistance. Bundy would then usually rape his victims before beating them to death. The problem with this case was that investigators were having a lot of difficulty to match Ted Bundy with the murders that he had committed.…

I have chosen the Twin zodiac, Gemini, as my favorite constellation. I believe this constellation shares a remarkable resemblance to myself. Being born in this same zodiac, my interests continue to climb. As mostly known, the Gemini is known for its affiliation and power over the element of air. Astronomically the actual stars of Gemini are coincidentally named Castor and Pollux. Apparently it is rare for mythology and astronomy to agree. Gemini significantly shows a well measure of yin and yang, for those under this sign have a sort of balance about them. It is said that those born under the Gemini, are rather intellectual when it comes to finding out just what they want to know. Instead of going the route of what they are forced to taught,…

    Ted Bundy Essay

The question is: what, of course, and how and, maybe even most importantly, why?” (Bundy). Ted Bundy was just another name on the possible suspects list and only because his name was Ted. He was respectful, handsome, successful, well-liked, and put together. Surely a man like him could never commit such atrocious crimes. It was not until 1978 that Ted’s monstrous side caught the eye of investigators. Bundy escaped police custody twice after 18 year-old Carol DaRonch identified him as her potential kidnapper in a lineup. On July 31, 1978 Bundy’s reign of terror finally came to an end when he was indicted for the murder of 12 year-old Kimberly Leach (Murderpedia). In the months following his arrest and conviction he participated in a number of interviews conducted by reporters, investigators, and psychologists who all had the same question in their mind: why? In interviews Bundy expresses remorse while flashing a bright smile and revealing a gleam of happiness in his eyes. Bundy charmed all who stood within 20 feet of him even though they all knew who he was and what he was capable of. Robert Ressler described Bundy as intelligent, charming, and very deceitful. While he had some qualities of the stereotypical serial murderer, he mostly differed from the preset expectations of a lowlife who would willingly take the life of another human being…

The zodiac seems to apply to all area of people's lives, it goes with dating, jobs and just the general way you live your life. Although it has not always been this way. All of the zodiac started out as separate legends, just stories you would tell around the campfire or to your kids as a bedtime story. “Many Astrologers feel that the figure of a ship upon the ocean is appropriate to describe the methods they use” (Adams et. al. n.p). Over time the stories and legends slowly became more, which resulted in astrology. It is important to know the beliefs have changed over time and how much they have evolved to fit the world's view on life. In order to know where the legends…
