"Let me be clear - Yesterdays March was NOT an "abortion march." Which I so frequently heard many uninformed individuals refer to it as. Abortions did not start with Roe V. Wade - Roe V. Wade was the beginning of women no longer dying from abortions. Yesterday's March was NOT because "women hate men." Yesterdays March was FILLED with men, women, and children. Yesterday's March was NOT because "us whining democrats can't accept the results of the election." Yesterday's March was NOT because "what rights have they lost anyways?" Yesterday's March was to take a stance against the new administration to make very clear that we do not stand beside or agree with the hateful & bigoted rhetoric that they preach. Who has attacked our Muslim, Black, Hispanic, & LGBTQ brothers and sisters. Against an administration who (although never convicted) openly talks about assulting women & normalizes it. It was to ensure equal rights for every single one of us (yes, that means you too.) Against leaders in our current administration who believe in conversion therapy for LGBTQ and using federal funds to do so (go ahead and check out Pence's track record in Indiana). It was against an administration who has seriously contemplated a "Muslim registry," who has called Hispanics "rapists" & believes that Hispanic Americans (born in America) can not do the job of being a judge adequately. It was to ensure that MILLIONS of Americans have access to affordable health care - that it is not repealed before even having a proper replacement- leaving them uninsurable due to "pre-existing conditions (that easily includes pregnant woman & people with chronic or terminal illnesses).
