After Rick and Morgan had parted ways, Ricks sets out to find his family and he did. His family was with a group of people camping out of a big city, the camp was no long safe so they had to set out to find a safer place to live. On the way to find a place to live the group runs into Tryeese and his teenage daughter and her boyfriend. Rick finds no problem with letting them into the group, as a result of seeing that he would be a good resource for the group. Lori, Rick’s wife, does not see it as a good thing, she sees it as threat to the group members. When Rick invites them in Lori stats “You’re just inviting a stranger to sleep in the same room as us?” Lori. Lori thinks that it is very dangerous to be letting this African-American man into the group. Lori is being completely racist because when this whole traveling group was forming, she did not no any of the members besides Shane who she was traveling with. Just because Tryeese is a big African-American man Lori is threatened by him. The longer that Tryeese is with the group and the more that he helps the group the more opened mind Lori gets about him. On the way to find the new place to live, a member of the group is shot on accident and is brought to a farm to be healed. During the say at the farm, the famer and Rick get in a argument because the farmer believe that the Zombies are going to be cured and that they should not be killed. The famer says “I don’t know what else to do. So I kept Shawn [the farmer’s son] in the barn. He tried to attack us…To kill us. But I couldn’t kill him…” (Herschel). The farm does not want the group of travels to be killing any of the zombies because he believes that there my still be a chance for them. There is this big fight between Rick and the farmer, the farmer then threatens to kick the travel’s out. Then on Zombie walks on to the scene and the farmer thinks that he has the situation under control. The famer goes to the barn to put the zombie in and it goes bad. The Zombies start to take over and Rick and the others kill all of the zombies. Two of the farmer’s kids are killed and he now realizes that he can not try can protect the zombies because thy are only going to try and kill him. As this situation happens the farmer has to forget his hope for these creatures and joins the idea of killing them in order to
