As the colonies got established in North America, they had to conquer the land for them to live in. The British winning the Seven Years War with help of the colonies, got the colonies more land in which they became leaders, as page 2 of “Road to Revolution” states, “France lost to Great Britain most for its North American colonial possessions.” In addition, at the moment the British didn’t take a lot of control upon the American colonies in the beginning. As page 3 of the “Road to Revolution” states, “The British Government was unable to persuade the colonial legislature to satisfactory contribute to the expenses of the war.” In other words, the British gave the colonies more freedom during the time of the Seven Years War.
Finally, the most important reason to why the colonies had more to fight for is because the colonists were fighting for their freedom. The colonists were getting tired of the laws that the British Crown were putting on them.
