Revolutionary War Dbq Analysis

Following the French and Indian War ending around 1763, pressure increased between Britain (Mother Country) and her American colonies. Truthfully, I believe the America colonies were justified for waging war and breaking away from Britain because they were trying to defend themselves from unfair Parliament standards (usually tax acts) that were forced on them with and without any say from the people. The only way that Great Britain thought they could regain their money that they lost during the war was to tax the colonies they controlled. It’s -pretty shocking to understand how they wanted to tax them, when it was clearly Great Britain’s problem in the first place. Yet of-course, Britain needed a way out of this debt and they saw America as the first and only option. Clearly, this enraged the colonists and for many obvious reasons. Many of the colonists influenced each other in being completely irritated of Britain and eventually got most of the people to go against what Britain was doing (Document 4). All of the colonists knew we were being poorly treated and being taken advantage to a point where they knew it all had to be taken care of, and so they had no other option but to withstand the power that the British had and fight for their independence; something needed to be down.
