Romeo and Juliet Essay Esteemed reader, when I was proposed with the two questions, which are, “Are Romeo and Juliet responsible for their own tragic deaths?” as well as “Is the Nurse and Friar Lawrence responsible for Romeo and Juliet tragic deaths?” the obvious choice is the latter. In Romeo and Juliet, Juliet is faced with the struggle of being in love with Romeo, but being forced to marry another man by the name of Paris by her father, Lord Capulet. Under the circumstances, and feeling a need for help, she goes to talk to her friend, the Nurse, and asks for advice. But when given advice, she gets the advice she did not want, whereas she goes to Friar Lawrence for advice instead. O churl! drink all, and left no friendly drop To help me after?” this quote shows the grief that Juliet went through, finding out that her “true love” has died in her arms, without even her realizing it. She then explains how he drank all the poison, and left none for her to kill herself with. She then takes the dagger he carried with him, and kills herself with that.

If the Nurse had not given Juliet the advice, it would have not lead to her seeking the help of Friar Lawrence, who then gave her the potion, and helped her fake her death, which carried on to Romeo finding out, walking to Juliet's “grave” and killing himself in her
