At the end of the play, both Romeo and Juliet are dead. Now there are a lot of things that happens in this play that caused their death like ad decisions and bad parents that showed no care sometimes , but in my opinion the one person that's most to blame is Friar Lawrnce. I also think that Mercutio could be blamed but not as much as Friar Lawrence. Also the nurse could've been to blame.
The reason why I think Friar Lawrence was the one that should be to blame is because he kept the whole secret that Romeo and Juliet we're going to get married. Not only this but he also helped them accomplish this. He also gave the idea about the potion. Friar Lawrence also failed to give the letter that explained the plan to Romeo so that was a major problem. Friar Lawrence could've done so much to prevent the deaths of both Romeo and Juliet. But he didn't and instead decided to help.

Instead he agrees to marrying them. Friar Lawrence also is the one to suggest to Juliet that she should drink the potion. He fails on getting the note explaining the whole plan.

The nurse was basically like juliets best friend rather then a responsible adult. She kept juliets marriage a secret when she should've told Juliets parents.
