Anonymous is a large group of people all around the world, uncovering information and standing up the government. “We stand for freedom. We stand for freedom of speech. The power of the people. The ability of them to protest against their government. To right wrongs. No censorship, especially online, but also in real life” (Anonymous). Throughout the past years, the activity of anonymous has become an increasing concern in America. The film focuses on the opinions and actions of Anonymous to explain what they are doing and why.
The members could be taking the information they are accessing it from and giving it to someone that can do greater damage. They could be working for other governments and getting secret information. But on the other hand, the NSA has an entire spy center made of hackers. So what is the difference between the people they are throwing in jail, and the people they are hiring to do their dirty work? June 8th, 2011 the FBI hired Hector Monsegur to be an inside man in Anonymous for them, retrieving documents, releasing member names, to build cases against them.
