If you look closely, you will notice that all great dads share three qualities: they are active in a child’s life, are positive role models, and encourage discipline. On one hand, the easy going dads are people that don’t make a big deal out of everything in life. They teach their kids that they are not perfect and to enjoy the experiences that life’s journey has to offer and avoid focusing on the outcomes. Easy going dads are the types that are willing to bend the rules a little for their children. They allow them to stay up late just so they can finish watching the airing of Sunday night football, have extra time to complete their chores, or have more than one chance to correct a mistake. On the other hand, the strict dads are people that are goal oriented and pay attention to every detail; teaching their kids to stick to the rules so they can achieve all they set out for. They like to enjoy the fruits of hard work and dedication. Strict dads are the type of people that enforce all the rules for their children: television shows coincide with their bed time, all chores are completed on time, and they stress the importance of correcting a mistake just one time.
