General messages typically are misunderstood due to involuntary vagueness. Following a protocol and adapting to an audience is a simply way in maintaining an organized line of communication. Typically, at my place of business dealing with the demographic of students, and keeping to the policies, yet adjusting the message in various to make students understand is an understated strategy many think it simple achievement. Dealing with foreign students, and students from different economical classes, it is not fair to assume the message will translate the same. Sometimes, a simply tone can immediately shutdown a student’s want to follow through with the conversation. Commonly, the audience is familiar with the assignment; and one style of writing or speaking is appropriate for all situations (Garnett, 1992, pp. 41-42). It is a misconception, an audience is immediately engaged into a topic; however, that assumption is false. In some scenarios, the message is foreign to the audience and they would like to get a better understanding about it. To immediately approach the audience with the presumption they are aware of the topic can immediately shutdown the interest of the listeners. Commonly, using advance jargon that is geared specifically, to that issue can loose the audience. Solutions to analyze your audience can be achieved by mapping audiences, constructing profiles of target audiences, and designing communication strategy (Garnett, 1992, pp. 42).
