Arterial blood is oxygenated blood that runs through the arteries starting in the lungs and left side of the heart and travelling through the circulating system. It is bright red in colour and delivers oxygen and nutrients to tissues and organs.
Venous blood moves through veins and take deoxygenated blood from tissues and organs back to the heart. From the heart it travels to the lungs for the removal of carbon dioxide via exhalation and to be oxygenated. Venous blood is rich in carbon dioxide and lack oxygen that why it is dark marron
