Webmd-Medscape: Case Study

When I was nine-years old, I promised my father that I would become a doctor. Life, however, has a funny way of working out. Early in high school I fell in love with business and decided that I would pursue a career in business. I have been fortunate enough to be a part of the Medical Education industry, where I currently work as a Pricing Analyst. Today, at WebMD - Medscape, I have quickly identified my short-term and long-term goals.
As a Medical Education organization, WebMD - Medscapes success is directly correlated with member participation. Therefore, it is important to understand social, medical, and technological trends. My long-term goal is to become the Vice President of Medical Education of an organization such as WebMD - Medscape. While today I use intuition and my strong understanding of the Medical Education industry to guide my actions, I plan to strengthen my skills by learning formal methodologies at Fordham. I look forward to benefiting from personal experiences of classmates and faculty. I feel that such knowledge will help me do my job effectively and achieve my short-term and long-term goals.
Although I lack managerial experience, I am confident that my desires to learn and grow serve as a sturdy foundation for me to build my managerial experience in the Medical Education industry. I believe that Fordham is the place to receive my education.
