The first level is the preconventional morality level, which is the level which is based on self-interest, avoiding punishment and obtaining reward. The level consistent of stage one which is the obedience and punishment stage and also stage two the individualism and exchange stage. The second level of moral behavior is the conventional morality level; in this level our reasoning is based on society’s views and expectations. Stage three interpersonal accords and conformity and stage four maintain the social order is refined within level two. The third and final level is the postconventional morality, the reasoning based on conscience and creating a just society level. Included in this level is stage five the social contract and individual rights stage and stage 6 the universal principles. However, for those who want to be considerate of others there are some questions that they could ask themselves. (1) Do I show respect for others and their feelings; (2) am I displaying a level of honesty and faithfulness; (3) do I display a generous spirit; (4) will my decision be beneficial to my community; (5) am I being sensitive to the needs of others; lastly (6) do I treat others the way I would like to be treated. As kids we learn how to be morally sensitive to other my watching how our parents, grandparents, uncle and aunts treat others who are not a member of the family. If they’re rude and uncaring we pick that up at being natural behavior but as we start interacting with others we get a different perspective on how to interact and treat others. This is the start of us developing our own sense of moral sensitivity. However, I do believe that those individuals who were taught the world revolves around them and there is no consequence for their actions may never develop a moral sense of sensitivity because they don’t know how to consider others
