Victor Moscoso (born 1936 in Oleiros, Galicia, Spain) is a Galician-American artist who applied an academic perspective to the psychedelic era. He was also best known for creating psychedelic rock posters, advertisements, and underground comix in San Francisco during the 1960s and 1970s. Later, Moscoso attended Yale with Josef Albers, whose theories on the use of color became a strong affection in Moscoso’s later designs. The designer had migrated west to the San Francisco Art Institute where he would receive his MFA and ultimately be a lithography professor.
