When I first saw Veronese’s Feast in the House of Levi, I thought someone painted to accommodate a special occasion or a banquet for a wealthy family. The subject been a representation of friendship, happiness and love from one another. It caught my attention how the people were gathered in all different locations and it wasn’t a focal point, just like in the other paintings we have seen. The style was rebellious and daring, that’s the reason why I find it fascinating and special. After the Feast in the House of Levi’s history was introduced to us, I learned that the Feast in the House of Levi subject is the Last Supper and it was also is original title.
