According to (Citizens Information, 2017), the employer has the duty of making sure that the employees’ health and safety in the workplace is reasonable. To avoid workplace injuries and ill health, it is the employer’s responsibility to:
Make sure the workplace is safe for all customers and employee’s at all times.
Prevent risks when using any item or chemicals and avoid employees from exposure to physical agents, noise and vibration.
Prevent any inappropriate behavior that would be likely to endanger an employee’s health and safety while at work.
Train and instruct each employee on the importance of health and safety at work.
Provide each employee with personal protective clothing and equipment to ensure they are not at any risk.
