Motivation is what makes a person want to achieve their goals. There are many different theories of motivation but the two most common ones are Maslow’s Theory which is a hierarchy that shows that some needs are more important than others which means that somethings that people are looking forward to in a job are more important than others the main needs in Maslow’s hierarchy are physiological needs, safety and security, social needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization. Give the employees interesting work is also an important factor because if the employee isn’t enjoying what they are doing then they will not complete the work to the best of their potential. Another main factor is chance for promotion if the employee has a chance to get promoted they will most probably work to the best of their potential and try to achieve a higher position in the company. Finally, the last factor is growth or development which means the employee is progress as a person and becomes better at what he/she does.
