There is nothing more precious than the relationships we build with our children. Time passes by so quickly, and once it is gone we can never get that back. No matter which stage your child might be in, the opportunity is there to practice and foster great communication. This is not something to be taken lightly or ignore, we have the great responsibility of instilling these skills into our children.
One of the most important aspects of positive parenting is ensuring that each and every member of the family feels heard, that they are understood, and that they can express themselves without condescension or reproach

The National Extension Parent Education Model
This is a model that specifies an outline of six parenting essential categories that parents should learn and be taught by parenting educators (DeBord, Bower, & Goddard, 2002). It is a model that is meant to guide the way programs for parent education, materials used and instruments for evaluation are designed. It is intended to assist parent educators with effectively work with parents for the betterment of their children. By using this model, educators can provide parents with the necessary tools for raising healthy, happy, and sensible children.
