The show was cheery and fun while also having some pretty dark aspects (like white slavery and evil actresses) thrown in. There were so many twists and turns, but my absolutely favorite had to be when Dorothy and Jimmy were announced to be Muzzy’s stepchildren and some of the richest people in the world. My second favorite, however, was when Dorothy chose Ching Ho over Graydon- didn’t see that one coming. The shows plot was so exciting, fast-moving, and fresh making it an awesome show to experience.
The audience was mostly inhabited by Twin Falls community theatre goers. After every scene, there was a well deserved roar of applause, and within the scenes, every humourous part at was acknowledged with genuine laughter. Probably the most obvious indicator of the viewers absolute enjoyment was the full-fledged standing ovation that took place at the end of the show.
Through and through, Thoroughly Modern Millie was a quality, enjoyable show. I was so happy I was able to experience this production done by the BHP, that afterwards, I told my entire family and many friend to go see it. Through its use of character and plot, the play has become one of the most popular plays in the U.S. and I’m very happy this was the first production I saw. My expectations are set high for my next
