The word family has been around for centuries now, but has rarely been talked about. We all have a family whether it be big or small and in that family, we have parts of the family that all contribute to one another to make a whole. The parts of the family usually include a father, a mother, sometimes a sibling and our self.
The first and one of the most important part of the family is a father. A father is someone who is there for you when you need him, but he also tends to be the strictest. He knows the mistakes children tend to make and tries to teach us wrong from right. A mother is usually the more compassionate one thus making her the one we tend to lean on emotionally. Like guys and their fathers sometimes a daughter and mother can butt heads. Girls usually know that the mother is right when she tells the daughter to stay away from a boy or do not do that, but us girls like to push our mother’s buttons. On the other hand, for girls our mother can be our best friend who we can tell anything to. At some point in time we usually have a mother daughter day were we just go out and have dinner or shop. This is also the time a mother shares her experience and advice about boys and also tends to teach us what to look for in a husband. Now, growing up as a boy around his mother is like a father and his daughter the mother tends to baby the boy. Mothers tend to be a little be patient when it comes to their sons just because that’s her little boy, but she could also give the boys opinions that her son may not like. Mothers try and teach their sons how to treat a girl and what to look for in a wife as the get older. We may get embarrassed by our mothers, but we all need that compassion. We sometimes forget the way we act can affect others. Being a part of the family as includes taking into consideration the feelings of those family members. If we just stop and take a deep breath and think before we act it may save us from saying something we are going to regret five minutes later. We also need to have a health relationship with all of the other parts of the family because if we have an unhealthy relationship with the just one other part of the family it may affect the others.
