The Wagner Act

Congress passed the Wagner Act/National Management Labor Relations ACT in 1935 to protect both the employee and the employer. The Wagner Act also urged the creation of collective bargaining units to limit private sector and management practices that could harm the welfare of the workers, the business itself and the economy ("National Labor Relations Act | NLRB," n.d.). The Wagner Act does not protect everyone the workers who are protected under this ACT are employees covered by the Railway Labor Act, agricultural employees, domestic employees, supervisors and independent
