A company 's image is an important key to success. Promoting a positive image to the public begins and ends with their espoused values. McDonald 's is one of the most well known fast food chains around the world. Everyday McDonald’s works to ensure food quality, sustainability priorities and a positive communal effect. However, certain media attacks on the fast food business in the past twenty years have started to change the culture of America. Despite McDonald’s best efforts to make a difference, the media has altered public views of the fast food industry and the repercussions of consuming such food.

And everyday, all around the globe, we put people, processes and practices into place to make quality food, more responsible sourcing choices, a stronger community and a better planet. According to the McDonald’s website, their mission statement publicly communicates the idea that they believe they can make a difference globally. By giving back to the community and positively impacting the planet, McDonald’s goes beyond their menu in an attempt to communicate what they are about. “The Company continues to strive to find new ways to strengthen the nutritional profile of our menu items while maintaining the great tastes our customers expect”.
