The United States has always been an embodiment of true democracy that stands on the pillars of freedom, personal liberty, and equality. It is a nation which has not only sustained its own democratic nature but also has tried to make it sure that other democracies also are able to sustain their principles amidst of the adversities. It is in the foreign policy of the United States that the country’s principles and ideologies can also to be seen reflecting. It is a country that has interfered in the matters of foreign nations in order to ensure that democracy is safe and secured. This is one reason why the United States has become the target of myriads of terrorist organizations, the primary objective of which is to put the democracies at stake ushering their own devilish forms of governmental control. There are myriads of nations across the globe which are not at all democratic in nature and these nations are sponsoring terrorist organizations to spread their narrow political ideology to different other parts of the world, and to accomplish this objective these nations along with their terrorist wings are eager to attack the United States – the ultimate savior of democracy. The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) is one such terrorist organization, which after the 9/11 attacks by al-Qaeda, has gradually emerged as one of the primary threats to the United States’ wellbeing.
