The Cons Of Space Exploration

Did you know that the government will no longer fund space exploration, but will pay almost a million dollars on soccer fields for inmates? (“Mr.Conversation”). Since the beginning of time humans have stared at the stars and questioned, what would it be like to explore them? After thousands of years people have left our planet and explored the neverending void of space, expanding knowledge of the universe. Now after moon explorations, and rovers sent to other planets the government has decided to stop funding NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and now space exploration is swiftly coming to a close. One of the biggest discoveries of space exploration is proof that Mars could have, at one point contained life (“Space”). The reason this is big is it shows that humans are not alone in the universe. Another big thing is we got to see that there are other planets beyond our solar system. Also because of views of other planets in the universe, scientist have found out that the human race is lucky, because they are in what is known as the goldilock zone. The goldilock zone is a place that is not too far away from a sun, but also not too close. “ If Earth were a little closer to the sun it might be like hot choking Venus; a little farther, like cold arid Mars”(“NASA”). With this knowledge scientists can look through the solar system, in multiple different galaxies. As one man said when asked about space exploration, he said “Are you joking? Let me give you one good reason. The continuation of the species. We literally have all of our eggs in one basket. If man stays … here on Earth, we will go the way of countless species before us. Extinct” (“space”).Also since NASA is no longer funded the only thing that helps is private funding, while that is happening, NOAA (National Organization of Atmospheric Administration) has gotten over fifteen billion dollars over the past three years(“NOAA Bluebook”) There is a constant struggle between ocean and space exploration. The only reason NASA is still alive, is so many wealthy people believe that it is important and will donate millions to NASA. Since they have had limited funds, just imagine what they could do with government money (“NASA”). The biggest thing to realize is that if the government would cut frivolous spending, on stuff that doesn 't matter, then both space, and ocean exploration could coexist. The reason that space, and ocean exploration should coexist is that the human race wants to explore and they do not want to have anything that will stay unknown. While Earth is becoming more hostile the only possible way for the human race to survive is to try to colonize another planet, while other, less important things get funded, like football
