I audition by sing a song called “Happy Day.” If they like you they would accept you. I got accepted. This school focuses in the Arts and performing Arts department. In the building every corner had a piece of artwork. This is the reason why I decided to leave my old school because it did not offer any performing Art classes. This prevented me from discovering who I was. I am glad that I made the decision to leave from my old school because I was now able to explore my creativity side that I never knew I had. My experience in high school was similar to the Fremont High School. Kozol states in the article “Some classes also took place in converted storage closets . . .”pg.705 This quote states that there were not enough classrooms this lead to using converted storage closets. The restrooms at “The School of Arts and Enterprise” were mini for a small school that had a big number of students. Our restrooms had the same problem as Fremont High School. They were not in perfect condition.
Kozol quote “. . . the library was often closed when it was being used for other purposes such as administration of examinations, typically for make-up tests,”as I was told.” This quote states that student did not have free time to use the library. In my school The School of Arts and Enterprise there is no such thing as a library. We do not have a library the only way to access books is by going to Pomona Public Library. That is the place to do
