The foster Care system provides housing for children who are not able to live with their biological parents. When parents are unable to take care of their child they give up their child to another family who can give them what their biological parents could not give them. Once the child is in the foster care system their social workers work on finding each child a stable, loving, caring family who can provide them a great life and a good environment to live in. In the united states, there is approximately 400,540 children in the Foster Care system as of September 10,2011, (Children Bureau). Some placed in child care have siblings and they are place together but they can decide to split them up. When this happens, children become overwhelmed at the fact that they would not be able to see their sisters or brothers again. Having siblings and being separated from them can cause many problems as the child grows because it is difficult for them to live without one another. Children would be often moved from homes to different homes and this is a difficulty for the child because when they move they have to accommodate with the different lifestyles and start all over again with a different family in which they will have to get comfortable with. Kids that move from house to house have problems adjusting their surroundings because of their past. Having to move from place to place gets exhausting and it does not help the child build friendships or encouragement. Moving means different parents, school, home, environment, people, and different challenges. The foster system can be good to the children who have a person to rely on, a person that guides them to the right direction and that person does not even have to be a parent. If the child has a person that is there for them and who can support their decision and walk them through life, then that can guarantee us that they will plan to have a good future once they are out of the
