The Life of Autism.
Imagine speaking to someone and hearing every sound around you at the same volume as the person speaking. You can’t shut every noise off so you’re forced to hear the dog down the street barking, the cars passing by, the giggling of keys, and the ticking of the clock that hangs on your wall. What would you do? Most people would grasp their ears and try their best to block out all the loud simultaneous noise. That’s what most people with Autism deal with on a daily basis. About 1 percent of the world population has autism. That means an estimated 1 in 68 births in the United States have been diagnosed with Autism alone.
Autism also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder by many. Autism is known as a complex developmental disability, many neurological experts believe that signs of Autism begin to be displayed during the first few years of an adolescent’s life. This disorder is the result of a neurological dysfunction that has an effect on normal brain function, affecting development of the person’s social interaction and communication skills. Autism affects how a person interacts with another person in day to day life it makes it more difficult to give and receive certain things when communicating. Autism is a very complex disorder meaning everyone with this disorder may not have the same issues developmentally.
Autism has a very large spectrum from low to high and many of the people with this disorder have different strengths and weaknesses. Many people don’t…
