Most of the stunts that the people perform in these movies defy all the laws of nature and are unrealistic. It doesn’t take a minute to drive a quarter mile, and people don’t do sixteen gear changes as you drive your quarter mile. It is physically impossible to use a submarine as an icebreaker and launch a torpedo across the ice at a Lamborghini speeding along at 160 miles an hour. And someone cannot hack into all of the computers in all of the cars in New York City and make them all crash into one another. Yet people don’t watch these movies to get an accurate representation of what people can do in the real world. They watch it for stunts that are not humanly possible, big explosions, nice cars, and lots of action. These scenes get the adrenaline pumping inside the human body, and people enjoy that feeling. Unless they get scared by someone or are nervous to give a presentation to their boss, people don’t often get adrenaline rushes. Movies like the Fast and Furious movies are attractive to people who like this adrenaline rush that they don’t get normally in everyday life. …show more content…
These programs show people doing everyday things, and the people who watch these programs argue that everything that occurs in these programs is authentic. What they don’t realize is that there is always some sort of scripting that goes on to make a moment more stressful or humorous. (counter-argument) Duck Dynasty is a perfect example of this. People think that Duck Dynasty was a realistic TV show with real-life interactions between the Robertson Family, yet there are scripted arguments and other scripted events that give the show humor.
