Demanding to have something is not going to get one what they want, that is not how one should use interpersonal persuasion. Interpersonal persuasion should be used appropriately by sharing important details in a given situation. In order to use interpersonal persuasion to its full capacity one must strive to build a relationship with other individuals to increase one’s likelihood of getting what one wants. Obviously having status is a key factor in how far one can influence someone because one will be judge based on what they bring to the table. Most of all one can motivate change through interpersonal persuasion if one has an offer that one feels they can benefit
