Personal Narrative: How Moving Changed My Life

It was the repetitive cycle that I certainly started to notice. Coming home day after day packing boxes for the big. After a few were packed I stored them in the moving container. It was so repetitive I got to the point where some days I just didn’t know what to put in the boxes anymore. At this point I just stuffed them full and got on with my night.
For me, one thing that I saw that made a big difference in my life was when I moved. Prior to moving I was living in a nice house, in a small and quiet neighborhood. What was so beautiful about it was that everybody knew each other. Where I moved to was about ten minutes away in Belleville. I moved from Romulus to Belleville and although it’s not that far it changed my life. I slightly felt the world was ending.
I remember I would always say to my mom, "Why do we have to move?" because I knew I was going to miss my friends and other things about the house tremendously.
She would simply and respectably reply with "honey, the house we are living in now just isn 't worth what we are paying for it."
Although my life was changed from this short move I had learned to accept and appreciate the differences it brought to my life.

I had finally decided to go up the staircase in the front of the house. As I made it upstairs I had crept over to the door of my new room. I nervously and excitedly grabbed the handle and open the door in a hurry. What came before my eyes was my room as clean and empty as it will ever be, my bed being the only thing in the room, was set up in the corner. This was just the beginning of my journey. This is when reality took its reign and slapped me across the face. I honestly could not believe what was happening.
