Beatrice High School is a in you guessed it Beatrice, Ne it isn't as big as some of the other schools in the state but isn't the smallest either. Beatrice isn't my favorite town but is what I consider to be my home town even though i was born in Lincoln. My family is made up of 3 sisters and 3 brothers including me from oldest to youngest there is jamie, Jenny, and zoe. I sadly don't know my brothers too wel mostly because ive only met them one or twice. Sometimes i think that our family has the worst luck for most of my life we were on the move from house to house never actually living in more than one place for more than 1 or 2 years at least. We’ve lived all over the state of Nebraska through this ive met many people and had to say good byes to many friends. Making friends come easy to me since i had to enroll in some different schools. My grandma's death instilled in me the power to overcome the depression that would have surely swallowed me whole by now.

I think that my past has definitely shaped the man that i am today. The death of my great grandma helped me know depression and having friends brought me out of it. Growing up in a family that openly discussed even the most basic of topics has given me a very opinionated view of the world and a appreciation of others viewpoints. I hope that the experiences i have at Barton college will help me grow even

Before attending Wilmington Early College High School (WECHS), I was not satisfied with my personality, nor was I happy with the way I was perceived by other people. Most would think that I should have been confident because in middle school I was in the AIG program. However, I never truly felt satisfied with myself. I always got good grades, but I never felt like I earned good grades. Although I was making straight As and Bs, it was always relatively easy to earn those marks in middle school.…

I walked briskly on a summer morning on the sidewalk to my college campus, Yale! I had been accepted in the middle of my Canby high school days because of my excellent grades, leadership skills, and my confidence in speeches. One other person had been accepted in my grade at that time named Tanya, but rumor has it that her father works in the staff and influenced the principal's decision with some ‘green paper’. Ever since 5th grade, she has taken my ideas into her projects, wowing the teachers and getting perfect grades. One time in middle school I caught her fumbling through my locker searching through my binder to find my lab notes during lunch.…

The environment in which I was raised had a lot of impact on the person I have become today. With my dad being in the military, I had the opportunity to travel the world; living in a different country and being around different cultures influenced my personality and mentality positively. Aside from the cultural aspect of it, being away from most of my family influenced the person that I became for the reason that it made me extremely independent. I noticed all my parents sacrificed living far from our family, learning a new language, living and accommodating to new and different places from what they were used to, and even risking their life being in the military just so that my brother and I can have a better future.
