Women Should Be Allowed To Breastfeed In Public Essay

Breastfeeding was a healthy and beautiful way for mothers to nurse and form a strong bond with their baby. Now the controversy has risen about breastfeeding. Now women breastfeeding in public is one of the many issues that are debated about today. Most people consider breastfeeding should be done in privacy and not in public, and consider it to be public nudity. However, the other side of this issue establishes that breastfeeding is natural and should be done whenever and wherever a mother feels comfortable enough to nurse her baby. Breastfeeding in public should be acceptable because it is beneficial to the mother and child, it is not illegal, beneficial financially, emotionally, and health-wise. Therefore, it should be acceptable for women to breastfeed in public.
My overall perception on breastfeeding is that women should be allowed to breastfeed in public with no problems. Therefore, I will be arguing for the side that accepts and strongly agree that women should be able to breastfeed in public with no backlash. Breastfeeding is natural and should not be portrayed as disgusting or sexualized. Breastfeeding has been around for many years, so why make it a big deal now? Many moms are on the go constantly, and a hungry baby waits for no mom, so nursing in public is beneficial and stress free. Feeding a baby and meeting their needs is not wrong.
