Bush once stated, “The U.S. values immigration and depends on immigration.” Since the country is made up of mostly immigrants, the impact that immigration policies have on our country is unimaginable. Not only do immigrants diversify the U.S. cultures but they also contribute and strengthen the U.S economy through the means of being part of the work field, creating jobs and starting new businesses. More recently, skilled immigrants have helped meet the demanding needs of large businesses for STEM workers by having the required professions or degrees. Since large businesses contribute largely to U.S economy and the quality of Americans life partially depend on the growth of the country economy, it is appropriate for large corporations to influence U.S. immigration policy because they contribute the absolute most to the U.S. economy by relying largely on skilled …show more content…

Why should we care? Everything from what we do to how we do has an impact on the way economics affects our lives. Since large corporations have such a large impact on the economy, and Americans as a whole depend on the economy, the reliability of these corporations on immigration indirectly impacts our lives.
