INTRODUCTION The Gospel of Acts is a gospel book which follows-up with the narrative Luke commenced. In other words, the gospel of Acts is the next story of which the book of Luke and the early church after Jesus’s martyrdom left off. As one reads the book of Acts, one can determine the dynamic era in Christian history among the fundamental beliefs of the earliest Christians and the phase where Christian thinking and beliefs were constructing. Existing chapters of Acts emphasizes Jerusalem’s community of believers and finally, the exertion of the Holy Spirit in the midst of Jesus’ followers.
BODY I Acts 2:1, “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place”. What is, the day of the Pentecost? This is a Jewish feast which pilgrims from across the world come together to celebrate. Also, it takes place on the fiftieth day after the Passover event. This occasion is acknowledged as a holiday where no facilities or labor is offered. The event is a celebration of God’s gift of the Ten Commandments to Moses from God. Afterward, one can see how the day of Pentecost became part of the earliest Christians fundamental beliefs which the people followed because of the importance of action that happened with Moses and God at Mount. Sinai. Acts 2:46, “Everyday they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts”.
