A worldview is a set of expectations or assumptions a person has about the world that shapes the person’s behavior and conception of the world. A Christian worldview is one that is varied among different sects of the Christian religion, but believes in the presence of one God. In this paper, I will explain that a Christian worldview believes these things; God is the sovereign creator of all things, the fall of humanity introduced sin into the world, and Jesus was sent into world to restore man from sin. Jesus is also the second person in the Trinity, Jesus the Son. Jesus was the Messiah that had been promised by the prophets of the Old Testament for many years. Marit Trelstad in his article “The Many Meanings of the Only Christ” explains that some of the things that Martin Luther said in a sermon on Christmas day 1530. Martin Luther says “Faith is added when one cradles the person of Jesus as dearly as Mary and believes the angel’s Christmas message that this Savior is born to you” (Trelstad, 2014). This means that Jesus was born to save all people. Jesus was born of a virgin named Mary in a humble stable. Even though Jesus was the Son of God, he was also fully human while He was on earth. He is the only human to never sin. He was perfect in all ways. While He was on earth, he preached about His Father in Heaven and performed miracles in the name of His Father. Jesus taught His followers in teachings that are called parables. The four Gospels of the Bible Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are the books of the Bible that tell about Jesus life and teachings. While the first three books tell different variations of the same stories, John is written a little different and starts out “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. I think for most people the most troubling thing about Christianity is that God is not visible by sight, though His presence can be felt and seen in different things that He created. It is hard for some to understand because they have to believe in the supernatural.
