The good news of the Gospel is found throughout the Old and New Testaments. It tells the story of God’s redemptive love for His highest creation – man. The Bible describes God, tells how mankind was created to live, the way they became separated from God, and God’s plan for restoration through His Son, Jesus Christ.
God:
God is infinite in all ways; meaning He is infinite in knowledge, time, space, and power. God has many attributes that set Him apart from His creation. God is spirit; therefore, He is not confined to a physical being (John 4:24, Acts 17:24-25). God is infinite and eternal (Psalm 90:1-2). He is all-powerful and knowing (Genesis 17:1; Jeremiah 32:17; Psalm 139:1-4; Romans 11:33-34) He also shares many characteristics with the human race, although man cannot perfectly manifest them as God does (CWV-101 Lecture 2, 2015, p.1). The attributes which are communicable with God’s highest creation, mankind, are often manifested as the fruit of the spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). God is the creator of all things because before there was heaven and earth only God existed (Genesis 1:1-2; John 1:1). Because He created everything, all things in heaven and earth belong to Him (Psalm 24:1).
Humanity:
Man being the image bearer of God, God gave him the gifts of a mind, emotions, and free will, in order to fulfill his intended purpose of knowing God, loving God, and choosing to obey God.…
