Stop Bullying After reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls the realization really set in on how bullying affected people back then and how it still affects people nowadays. Jeannette had problems fitting in because she was different which seems to be the cause of many bullying issues. The bullying did not seem to affect her too much, she did not tell her parents because they would have made it a big deal, but she did fight most of the girls that bullied her. Jeannette had a lot of struggles she had to overcome throughout the book and in the end it made her a better person. The bullying seen in The Glass Castle at schools is still seen today, especially in social media. Just like Jeannette, there are all sorts of stories about people having a hard time fitting in and being bullied. Most of the time, kids who are bullied can’t help that they look or act different. There is a story about a girl named Olivia who is bullied because of how she was different after she got in a car accident.
I 've been bullied my whole life and it is still a part of my life today. It all started to change 14 years ago. I was in the car with my mom and older sister on our way to a dance rehearsal. A reckless driver hit two other cars before hitting us. We then got suspended in a guard rail. I was in the hospital for a while and diagnosed with a severe traumatic brain injury. A brain injury happens when your skull is fractured and your brain gets injured. You never totally heal from it.…
