A young girl named Khalieghya was diagnosed with biliary atresia as a infant. In “human” this meant that she had a blockage in the tubes that carries the bile from her liver to her gallbladder. The doctors attempted to go into her and connect the bile ducts together, The surgery was unsuccessful. With a unsuccessful surgery this meant she needed a new liver. Khalieghya was put onto the liver transplant list but her mother was worried that another case would be more serve and take the up coming liver. Then her family found a liver. Khalieghya was going to live and be a normal kid and stay alive. Because this family could look through their own grief and help out this family, this 5 month baby is now much older and all she has is a small dose of anti-rejection medication. Although, some people may have religious beliefs against this, I think we should keep organ donating because it can help young lives like Khalieghya.
In conclusion I believe in organ donation because it can help save lives from lives that were already sadly gone. Organ donation is not a simple thing. It's hard for the families whose loved ones could have passed and grief could be sped up by this. But in the end it helps way more than it
